One of us. One of us.
Well, I did it. I have succumbed to the dark side. I bought a Mac.
Apple was kind enough to offer me a line of credit, so I decided to take the plunge. It should only take me about 3 months max to have it all paid off. The financial aid check that I am expecting in the mail any day now will take care of a huge chunk of it and the extra paycheck in October should as well.
Oh, and I also decided to withdrawl from the current class that I am in. I at least need a break from school, but I am not so sure that I am headed in the direction that I want to go. I love the tech classes, but the managerial classes suck so much ass. With every one that I take I learn one thing - I would be a crappy manager. I just don't have the right personality traits for it. We'll see though. Things could change after I have had my little break. I am considering going back to a more artistic path. Possibly film production or lighting design or editing. Who knows.
Anyway, now I just have to freakin wait for them to ship me my Mac. The waiting is going to suck!

Musings on the new insrtuctor
Tonight was my first class under the instruction of Michael Pat.
It was a wonderful class and I look forward to working with him more and hopefully get my dancing level up to where I would like it to be. Starting next month I will probably begin taking lessons twice a week and really kick it in the ass.
I am super motivated now and I hope that it continues. This past week I was at the gym doing cardio, stretches and ball crunches on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. I am thinking about going tomorrow as well.
And aparently I was approved for the Apple credit card, even though the system was wonky and told me they will have to send something to me via mail, so I thing I will have to get an iMac G5 then. I will just wait to order it until the card comes in the mail.

I never thought I would say this...
... but I am seriously considering crossing over to the dark side. Yes. I am tinking about getting a Mac. Not any Mac, mind you, the new G5 iMac. It was just announced yesterday and is not going to be released until another month. This is one seriously sweet piece of machinery.
I had been entertaining the thought of a 12" iBook since I don't have the space for another desktop, but this thing is so much cooler. It's basically a flat screen monitor ... and that's it. Just the monitor. All the ocmputer stuff is in the monitor, including a slot loading DVD-R/CD-RW drive. They actually are resonably priced as well.
Wow. Super Sweet.
