Dancing Wounded

I had another dance competition this past weekend. Things went pretty goo d considering that I was (once again) nursing an injury. This time it was a jammed, possibly sprained toe. My insurance is in the process of being switched over so I can't go to a doctor right at the moment.

I ended up with a 3rd in my Light Jig (out of 7), 4th in my Slip Jig (out of 14), 5th in my Single Jig (out of 6) and 3rd in my Treble Jig (out of 14).

And yes, I continue to dance with my injury.

Only 5 more days.

Those of you who know me, it's probably not difficult to figure out for whom I am voting. I find it amusing that my polling place is an Islamic community center. Rawk.

v2.2

So I have been working on v2.2 of my site (v2.0 and v2.1 were suitable reslease canidates) which is why I haven't written too much. The new site will have Movable Type with a MySQL database backend, instead of blogger. I have already imported all my blogger posts, so I was reluctant to add more, but I felt compelled to write today.

Unfortunately I really don't have too much to say. I am still digging my new iMac and my new instuctor. I am thinking about buying an iPod when I pay off my iMac.

Last night at dance class I jammed my big toe. I don't think it's broken or sprained or anything since it's not swollen. It does hurt though, and might be a bitch if it doesn't feel better by the competition in a week and a half.

I wish I could be more profound and insightful in my posts, instead of just recounting the events in my life. Boring. I should be happy that I am at least writing, even though it's crap.

Maybe I'll have to do a nice rant post sometime soon, like after the next presidential debates which are going to be right up the street from me. Literally.

G5, baby!

So I got my new computer last week. It's sooo sexy. I am totally digging it. It takes a bit to get used to the differences, but it's really easy to use.

I have been having some issues with ICQ. They've blocked me from my account (9986088) that I have had since 1997, so until further notice, my ICQ number is now 247507451. I am a bit pissed about it, but what are you going to do.

That's really about all that I have to report.
