Hidden fangirl
Many know of my Star Trek fangirl persona. I tend to let her out often, but unless you’ve known me for a while, you might not be familiar with another fangirl that I keep hidden. I have been a huge fan of Reba for half my life now, a fact I just realized last night at her concert in Tucson. Since 1992 I have seen her in concert more times than I can remember (but I think it might be 27). I was 13 when I first saw her live. And now at 26 I am still shelling out the money and making the drive if necessary. Last night it was only a 2 hour drive to the concert, but I have driven as long as 4-5 hours.
The show was amazing (as always) and I had great seats. I was finally able to find a setting on my camera that allowed for good concert pictures. They are in my photo gallery if you’re interested. She’s still absolutely adorable. I am just amazed that she’s 50.
Teri Clark and Brad Paisley opened up and although I missed most of Teri Clark’s set, I did catch Brad Paisley. Out of all the songs he sang I think I might have heard one of them before. I don’t listen to country anymore, can you tell. He was slightly entertaining and a bit of a cutie though, so it was tolerable. It seems as though David Duchovny’s stand in is now Brad Paisley’s fiddle player though, complete with pouty lower lip and floppy season 4 hair. Though he seems a bit gayer than Mulder and he looked kind of like Mike Meyers when he sang. Strange.
Besides Reba’s great show, another fun part of the night was blasting System of a Down while in line to leave the parking lot. Good times.
