Merry Frakking Christmas
How fucked up is this?
I have been with my present employer for almost 4 years. Every year we all get these cheesy little Christmas cards with our "Holiday Bonuses" in them. In the past it's been about $20 or so.
So when my boss passed out the cards today I was excited to get the extra cash. The envelopes had our names on them, but most of them were not sealed.
I pulled my card out and opened it up.
It was empty.
I was disappointed. My first thought was that no one was getting cash this year.
I was pissed. I looked around and saw others pull the cash out of their cards.
Mine was the only one that was empty.
I was assured that it was simply a mistake. The envelopes are stuffed before the names are put on them. There should have been something inside it and that the oversite will be fixed.
Intentional or not, it was a slap in the face.

Migrating Pain
So it turns out that at the competition I did something to my left achillies tendon. Normally it's my right one that gives me trouble, but the pain decided to migrate. That has been especially fun to deal with.
I also got contact a few weeks back and they are bugging. This is the second brand that I am trying and they are still not comfortable at all. I have switched solution to see if maybe that was the issue. We'll see.
I leave tomorrow to go visit the family for the holiday weekend. Yay. Hopefully I will see a little bit of snow. Since there is really only one weekend a year where I have that chance, it would be nice to actually see some.
Got my hair done yesterday and it is kinda purple. Some say that it's a bit anime like. It's cool. I love my colorist and stylist.
I have gotten some semblance of a mock bodice put together for my dress, but I am having issues fitting it. It's a bit difficult to fit yourself. Seriously. Hopefully I have get some help in the next week. I really need to start kicking ass on this if I want to get it done in time for the next Feis.
I think that's about it. Exciting, huh?

Reel Victory
Well, it took six years, but I have finally moved up to Preliminary Championship.
I won my reel at the Feis this weekend, the last dance that I needed to move up. I still can't believe it. It hasn't fully hit me yet. I am sure it will hit me the first 3 hour championship class that I attend.
No more fucking around. Seriously.
And I hurt.
