Actually I have been blogging, just not here.

I don't think anyone stops by here anymore, but the front page looks sad with no entry, so I will write again.

I keep saying that I want to redesign this site, but I don't know what to do with it. I get so much more traffic on my LiveJournal, so I feel like writing here is a waste of time, but I don't want to just get rid of all these past posts.

I guess I could just keep the archive up and redesign this place to be without a blog.

What would I put up here besides pictures then?

I guess I could put my portfolio on this domain when it's done.

Anyway, I'll figure it out eventually.

Still dancing and still in pain. *sigh*

My 10 year high school reunion is next weekend, so I am flying home for that.

I just booked my tickets to Vancouver in November and I am hella excited about that trip.

Then I will be visiting the family again over Christmas, so tons of traveling for me in the next three months.

Then in April and May next year I will be taking a trip to the British Isles. Yay! So freaking excited about that.

Back in a slump again on the 'getting healthy' front, but hopefully I'll be able to kick it in the ass and drop another 3 sizes by the Europe trip *fingers crossed*

Job is going good. Not too much to report on that front except that I am still employed and it's still a good company and all.

Just in case there are still a few people that read this, I figured I'd do a quick update.

The biggest news is that I have started dance class again, with the Cleary school in North Hollywood.

I've only had one class so far, and there is a two week break for nationals, so I'll be back again on the 18th.

I was in a bit of pain after class, but I was able to get back to 80% by Friday night and back to about 90% on Sunday.

This morning there is almost no pain, only a bit of stiffness in my ankles. Hopefully I can reduce my recovery time after each class.

I've been really good with keeping up with my physical therapy exercises, so hopefully the added ankle strength will help out.

Also, I hope to continue to drop some pounds to take that extra strain off the joints, so that should help with the pain as well *fingers crossed*

So far I've learned one reel step and one slip jig step. It was actually a bit difficult to wrap my mind around the slip jig after doing just the reel for so long. It was a fun challenge though and there is a wicked fun jump in the step that will be awesome as soon as I can master it.

Other than that, nothing too terribly exciting to report. I am just anxiously awaiting Comic Con in San Diego at the end of the month.

It's July already?!

I've also been really bad about posting here because I've been posting more over at my LJ since it gets a lot more traffic.

I might merge my LJ into this site. A part of me just wants to replace this blog with it and only have one place to post, but I don't want to lose all the posts from here. I suppose I could just have a link to the archive of posts, but a movable type blog is way more geeky than an LJ.

So my DSL has been down since Monday evening. I've been fighting with tech support ever since to get it back up and running.

Four days, over 5 hours on the phone (much of it on hold) and 2 technician visits and it was still not fixed.

Until about 10:20 last night, when it spontaneously began working again.

No clue why, but I wasn't anywhere near the modem when it finally decided that it wanted to get the DSL signal again.

Just got a call from the DSL people and apparently, even though I finally have a signal, it's not very stable, so they are sending out a tech tomorrow between noon and 4pm.

Needless to say I have been a bit stressed out lately.

It's Friday now, though it will all be good.

This weekend the plan is to redesign Tammy's site (wildrosecloggers.com) cause it's old and it sucks.

Hopefully I'll have time to redesign this place too.

Keeping up two journals is a bit pointless, so I am considering combining this with my LJ, but I don't know how that would work. I don't want all the entries here to get lost, but I have more of an audience over at LJ.

We'll see.

Wow. What a trip! The con was a blast and it was wonderful to see the sites of Vancouver! And don't even get me started on the set tours! (fyi, the Atlantis gate is squishy!)

I am slowly but surely uploading all of the 1300 pics from the weekend (though about 200 of them are from the set tour, so they can't be shared).

I probably should upload my observatory and Zoo pictures too. I've discovered a new (and possibly faster) way to upload them.

And for those that didn't hear, I won the costume contest. Me, the one that swore I would never dress up! I fear I will never live it down.

My roomies also forced me to sign up for LiveJournal.

I will make it to AT3 in London next year. Mark my words.

I know I have been slacking on updating this, but I just haven't been in the mood to write about all the crap that went on.

Last time you hear from me, I had just gotten a job with Fonality.com.

That only lasted about 7 weeks. I couldn't take the long hours and the long commute. The kicker is that about two weeks before they botted me out the door, they gave me the option of taking a '30 day Exit Strategy' in which I would hang onto my current position for 30 days while I looked for a new one. I was going to take it until they talked me out of it with promises of working from home a few days a week in the near future.

Needless to say I was pissed when I was fired two weeks later.

Let me tell you, job hunting during the holidays sucks! Everyone is draggin their feet until after the new year.

By Christmas time, throught the recruiter that got me the last job, I had three possibilities - two web hosting companies and a computer forensics company.

I had just one interview with one of the web hosting companies and they were reluctant to make a decision for even the second round interviews. I had a good first and an OK second interview with the other webhosting company.

The computer forensics company did the first round over that phone and apparently I was ranked 2nd and they wanted to bring me in for the second round. The problem was that they weren't doing second round interviews until after the first of the year.

The New Year finally came and I still hadn't heard any definite answers and I only had enough savings for one more month's rent.

Anyway, to make a long story longer, the first webhosting company fell through, but the second one wanted to make me an offer. The stipulation was that I had to cancel my second round interview with the computer forensics company.

The offer was decent (the same amount as Fonality), it seemed like a cool company, and I really needed the money.

So, I finally have a job. It's with Broadcaster.com which is a division of Alchemy Communications.

It's my first week and I am still trying to get used to having to actually wake up at a certain time and be somewhere doing stuff all day, but it's good to be back into some sort of routine.

In the last 6 months of 2006, I worked only 7 weeks. Damn. That sucks.

Anyway, that's what has been going on with me on the job front.
